About Lattice

Number logic, made with care.

Lattice is a daily cross-math puzzle where every board is machine-proven to have exactly one solution. No guessing, no luck, no dark patterns — just a clean, honest argument in numbers.

What Lattice is

Lattice is a numbers-and-logic puzzle in the cross-math tradition. You're given a grid of cells joined by arithmetic — additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions, and equals — and a small tray of number tiles. Your job is to place every tile so that each equation on the board reads true at the same time. It sounds simple, and the first puzzles are. But Lattice grows into shapes you won't have seen in a number game before: diagonal weaves, two-sided balances, rings of numbers orbiting a hub, dials you twist into truth, and even puzzles that wrap around the faces of a 3D solid.

There are more than 1,000 hand-tuned puzzles across twelve worlds, plus a fresh Daily Lattice every day that anyone can play for free — no account, no sign-up, in your browser or on your phone.

The one promise: no guessing, ever

Most number puzzles eventually ask you to guess and backtrack. Lattice never does. Before a single puzzle ships, our solver proves two things about it: that it has a solution, and that the solution is unique. If a board could be solved two different ways, it isn't a Lattice — it's thrown out and regenerated.

That guarantee changes how the game feels. Every number you place is forced by the numbers around it, if you can see why. When you're stuck, the answer isn't hiding behind luck — it's a deduction you haven't made yet. We think that's what a logic puzzle should be: fair, closed, and quietly satisfying.

Difficulty you can trust

Lattice doesn't rate difficulty by how big the board is. It rates it by how deep the deduction goes — how many linked steps of reasoning a solver needs to crack it without guessing. That's why a small five-cell puzzle can be graded Master while a sprawling grid is merely Easy. The grades — Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, Master — come straight from the engine, so when you beat a Master puzzle, you've genuinely earned it.

Built on respect, not friction

Plenty of puzzle games treat your attention as something to mine: walls of interstitial ads, energy timers that lock you out, consumable hints you have to buy back. Lattice is built the opposite way. The daily puzzle and core game are free forever. We don't run lives, energy, or pay-to-continue mechanics, and we never gate a puzzle behind a guess. If you choose to support the game, a single one-time unlock removes everything optional — that's the whole business model.

Who makes it

Lattice is built by Drylabs GmbH, a small independent studio. We care about craft: the typography, the weight of a tile as it drops, the proof behind every board. Lattice launched on the App Store and is now playable in any browser at play.latticegame.com, with an Android version in development.

We read everything sent to us, and we treat reports that a puzzle "looks wrong" as our highest priority — because the no-guessing promise is the whole point. If you've found something, or just want to say hello, our contact page has the details.
