Cookie Policy

Lattice uses very few cookies. This page explains what we set on latticegame.com and play.latticegame.com, why, and how you stay in control.

Effective date: June 29, 2026. This Cookie Policy is part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy. "Cookies" here also covers similar technologies such as your browser's local storage.

The short version

Today, Lattice sets only a couple of small, functional cookies and stores your game progress on your own device. We run no third-party analytics. We do not set advertising cookies yet. If and when we show ads, advertising cookies will only be set with your consent (and, in the EU/EEA, through a Google-certified consent message).

Cookies we use now

Strictly necessary & functional

  • Language preference — remembers the language you chose so the site loads in it next time.
  • Consent choice (lat_consent) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we don't ask again. It is shared across latticegame.com and play.latticegame.com.
  • On-device storage — your puzzle progress, settings, streak, and (in the web app) the data needed to play offline are saved in your browser's local storage on your device, not on our servers.

These are essential to the site working and to remembering your choices, so they are set without asking. They do not track you across other websites.

Advertising cookies (not active yet)

The web version of Lattice may, in future, show ads. When that happens, third-party vendors — including Google, via Google AdSense — may set advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve and measure ads. These are not in use today, and where required they will only run after you consent. In the EU, the UK, and Switzerland we will present a Google-certified consent message before any personalized-ad cookie is set. A future "Lattice Complete" purchase will remove ads on the web.

How to control cookies

  • Our banner — use "Accept all" or "Reject non-essential" when it appears. To change your mind, clear the lat_consent cookie and reload, and the banner returns.
  • Your browser — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage in its settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the site from remembering your language or progress.
  • Advertising choices — you can manage personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of many vendors at aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.

Changes

If we change how Lattice uses cookies — for example, when advertising goes live — we will update this page and its effective date.
